Police and fire crews were alerted to reports of a glider crash-landing this morning in Weymouth.
It later transpired that the glider had landed safely on a temporary landing strip.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Weymouth, Portland, Bere Regis and two officers attended reports of a glider which had crash landed near to a Touring Park in Weymouth.
"Thankfully, the glider had landed safely on a temporary airstrip and no action was taken by DWFRS."
