A MAN was reportedly stabbed in a Poole road in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Dorset Police had the road cordoned off at the junction of Lagland Street with Prosperous Street in the town centre for most of the day while they carried out an investigation.
The Echo understands that a man was stabbed near The Cockleshell pub in Prosperous Road before walking a short distance away towards The Cabin cocktail bar in Old Orchard, just off the quay, seeking aid.
Staff in the Cockleshell said that they had heard the incident occurred during the early hours of the morning.
Reportedly the victim is being treated in hospital.
Dorset Police has been contacted for further information.
