WOOL residents will be getting a refund on their council tax – after an admin error.

Dorset Council will this week correct the mistake when it meets for the first time today.

But residents in the village will not be saving much – the average over payment works out at just £2.37 a year for a Band D property.

Revised bills will be issued following confirmation of the correct charge, Aidan Dunn, executive director for corporate development said.
