BEACH Yoga Fest, a new event celebrating the practice of yoga in its many forms, will be taking place on Bournemouth beach from June 21–23.
The event which begins at 4pm on International Yoga Day on the Friday, is about introducing a variety of the yoga classes available to people around the area, for absolute beginners or more experienced yogis who want to try something new.
Beach Yoga Fest will feature over 50 classes including Yin Yoga, Sun Salutation Sunset Yoga Gong Bath, Ashtanga, Sunrise Meditation, Acro Yoga and Energising Yoga Flow
Co-founder Nina Fox said: “We are so excited to be bringing this incredible event to Bournemouth Beach. Yoga is such an incredible practice which brings inspirational change to everyone and the way we live.”
Sally Gravener, managing director of Hearnes Estate Agents, one of the event sponsors said: “We are very pleased to be part of this year’s Beach Yoga Fest and helping showcase the beautiful beach and beach front area that we have in Bournemouth.”
Ty Browne, owner of New Era Gym, who is also supporting the event said: “It’s great for us to be part of the event and to meet a different demographic who are interested in keeping fit and healthy.
“Some of our instructors practise yoga and we want to educate people that the way we train isn’t just about hitting bags and pads, it’s about incorporating balance with technique that helps to build a good combat fighter.”
