RISING star Sam Fender has confirmed he will be heading to Bournemouth as part of his 17 date UK & Ireland Hypersonic Missiles Tour.

The North Shields born singer was named as one of BBC’s Sound of 2018 after gaining attention for his independent releases and he went on to win the Brit Awards Critics’ Choice earlier this year.

Straight out of school, Sam found work behind the bar in a local pub and was discovered by his eventual manager, when the pub’s landlord, recognising him, nudged Sam to go fetch his guitar and play something.

He did so and the pair have worked with each other ever since with this year seeing Sam’s profile sky rocket across the globe, thanks to his Brit win, tracks like Play God and Dead Boys and appearances on top American TV shows.

Now, before he’s even played a string of other sell out shows, Sam Fender has announced his biggest UK tour to date which will see him play two gigs on his home turf.

Tickets for the winter tour are now on sale via his website samfender.com.

Sam will also play a string of festivals across the UK and Europe throughout the Summer including Glastonbury, TRNSMT, a huge outdoor headline show at Tynemouth Castle, and performances in both Victoria Park (All Points East) and Hyde Park (Bob Dylan + Neil Young).

The debut album, Hypersonic Missiles, is due to be released on August 9 via Polydor Records.
