HE’S the baby named Archie who’s just days old and cute as a button.

Unlike his royal namesake, this little boy hasn’t yet met the Queen and isn’t seventh in line to the throne.

However, Archie Alexander Levens does share a birthday and first name with Meghan and Harry’s first-born, who made his debut to the world on Wednesday.

The little bundle of joy was born at Poole Hospital on May 6 at 12.13pm weighing 8lbs 10 to parents Shaylan and Gavin Levens who live in New Milton.

And his birth was registered at 4pm on Wednesday, less than an hour before the royal baby’s name was announced to the world.

Shaylan said: “We had the name for months. Everyone knew at the baby shower, which was about a month before the birth, we even had his name embroidered on stuff.”

“We registered him at 4pm, I think the name was announced on the news at 4.45pm. Everyone started messaging me saying the royal baby’s got the same name, they've stolen your name. I thought it was a joke at first. I didn’t think they would choose a name like Archie as it’s quite modern, I thought they’d go for Edward or something like that.”

She said that at the hospital, expectant mums had been listening to the radio where they discovered that Meghan had given birth on Monday.

Baby Archie had been due on May 4 but Shaylan said she was "amazed" to discover he had the same birthday as the royal baby.

Shaylan said her daughter Olivia, four, was already enjoying her role as Archie’s big sister.

She said: “She keeps telling everyone ‘he’s mine.’”
