CCTV has been issued by police after a garage burglary near Sturminster Newton.
Officers are hoping someone will recognise a vehicle that was parked outside the property at the time of the incident on Wednesday morning.
At around 11.30am, homeowners from Manston were out when their garage was burgled.
CCTV from the address showed a white transit twin cab truck park up outside the address. The truck had ‘Homegro Tree Surgeons’ written on the side and hatch markings with ‘Motorway Maintenance’ written on the back.
Two men - described as white, aged in their early 20s and of slim to medium build – got out of the truck and entered the garage. Two Boardman mountain bikes – a silver men’s bike and a black and pink ladies bike – were stolen as well as a Makita drill, a Worx saw and a Makita site radio.
Inspector Simon Perry, of North Dorset police, said: “As part of this investigation, we are issuing an image of the distinctive vehicle that was seen outside the address at the time of the burglary. I would urge anyone with any information about this vehicle or the burglary to contact us.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who comes across any items matching the descriptions of those stolen being offered for sale.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police on 101 with occurrence number 55190069136.
