A MAN has denied assaulting an emergency worker and committing a public nuisance by indecent exposure.
James Connelly, of The Broads, Wimborne, appeared before Poole Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The 42-year-old is alleged to have spat in the face of a police officer, then committed a public nuisance by indecently exposing himself by urinating and defecating on a petrol forecourt at Dorchester Road, Corfe Mullen Wimborne, on January 8 this year.
He pleaded not guilty to those charges, and elected to proceed with a trial at crown court.
Connelly is also accused of two counts of using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence, and two counts of causing criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
He is yet to enter a plea on these charges.
Connelly will next appear before Bournemouth Crown Court later this year.
