FAMILIES and their waggy-tailed friends are invited to a dog show in Bournemouth this weekend.

The event takes place at Kinson Community Centre at Pelhams Park on Sunday with gates open at 11am.

There will be more than 17 fun classes for dogs to enter and categories include best trick, fancy dress, best rescue and best pedigree. And there’s even a prize for the best sausage catcher. Rosettes will be presented for the top five in each class.

Ace Agility will be doing a display and visiting dogs will be able to have a go on the equipment.

There will also be a 'pop up' charity shop, refreshments, huge tombola, a professional pet photographer and games to keep the children and dogs entertained.

The show has been organised by Friends of the Strays of Greece, a charity which has enjoyed a relationship with the Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and Ringwood area for more than 20 years.

Entry costs £2 per person and is free for under 16s and dogs. All proceeds will go towards providing food, shelter and veterinary care to stray and unwanted cats and dogs.
