IT'S A UNIQUE chance to see a play about the Tolpuddle Martyrs in the very court where their trial took place.

Tolpuddle Man is a folk musical about the story of the six men who were deported to Australia for daring to form a friendly mutual help society - and came back to the Great Britain as national heroes.

Tolpuddle Man will be performed by a cast of six, including songwriter Graham Moore and Dorset born singer, James Findlay, who, following his success as winner of the prestigious BBC Young Folk Award, continues to receive critical acclaim as a singer and musician.

Tickets for Tolpuddle Man at Shire Hall can be booked via 01305 26184 or on the website shirehalldorset.org. The performance will be on Friday, May 17th at 8pm (with doors open from 7.15pm).
