EAGLE-EYED visitors to the coast spotted an oil rig on the horizon of Poole Bay this morning.
Many were left wondering if it was the return of the Ensco 72 rig that was carrying out drilling operations in February and March.

However, information from global ship tracking website Marine Traffic reveals the oil rig seen today is in transit to Rhyl gas field in Morecambe Bay.
At the time the company said it had no plans to return with an oil rig in Poole Bay.
