THE 25th anniversary of the Bournemouth Red Arrows Association is being celebrated with a gala dinner.

Taking place on the first night of the 2019 Bournemouth Air Festival, Thursday, August 29, the meal marks the main fundraising event for the organisation in a year that it hopes to raise £25,000 for the Jon Egging Trust, in memory of the Red Arrows pilot who lost his life in 2011 following a display at the event.

Organisers hope the dinner will attract some 250 guests to enjoy a three-course meal and an evening of fundraising at the Cumberland Hotel on Bournemouth clifftop, close to where the Jon Egging memorial statue now stands.

A number of ex-Red Arrows pilots have already agreed to attend the event as special guests and to host tables, and there are plans to invite various other current air display teams.

The Bournemouth Red Arrows Association is now offering sponsorship opportunities, as well as the chance to support the charity and promote a business at the event, by providing a prestigious auction item or a prize for the raffle or tombola.

Sole sponsorship of the event is available for £7,000, including advertising and promotion with each press release. Shared title sponsorship is also available alongside other companies, as well as table sponsorship at £300, with the chance to have a table branded with a company name, logo and merchandise.

Money raised from the event will go to the Jon Egging Trust, which works to inspire and enthuse young people to reach their full potential with a range of programmes aimed at increasing young people's self-confidence, self-esteem and other life and work skills, empowering them to become role models within their own communities.
