A MAN caught drug driving twice in just weeks has been banned from the roads for two years.

Kam Singh, of Edward Road, Christchurch, was first caught behind the wheel of his Vauxhall Astra in Lyndhurst Road on December 2 2018.

He had 25 micrograms of cocaine, 374 micrograms of cocaine's primary derivative benzoylecgonine and 10 micrograms of THC, the primary psychoactive ingredient in cannabis, per litre of his blood.

The limits are 10, 50 and two respectively.

Singh was then caught again in Stanpit, Christchurch on January 17. He had more than seven micrograms of THC and 95 micrograms of benzoylecgonine per litre of blood.

The defendant admitted five counts of drug driving at Poole Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

He was sentenced to a £250 fine, as well as a £30 surcharge and £85 costs. Singh was also sentenced to a two-year ban for the offences.
