A MAN is due to appear in court today after a person was left fighting for his life in an alleged attack in a Bournemouth graveyard earlier this week.
Police were called to reports of an assault in St Peter's Road at 5.20pm on Monday. A man in his 50s was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition. He suffered a serious head injury.
Four people were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
Kevin Adrian McDermott, 25 and of no fixed abode, has now been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court today.
A 23-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl, both from Bournemouth, and a 47-year-old man of no fixed abode have been released under investigation.
