THE biggest male choir ever to sing in Poole will gather to raise money for the Bournemouth Hospital Charity at Lighthouse on April 27.

The Bournemouth Male Voice Choir's Concert of 400 Voices will see choirs from all over the UK come together to compete and to sing in a combined choir.

Organisers hope the event will raise £10,000.

Musical Director, Mark Burstow said, "This contest and concert is aimed to show the social and artistic value in the men’s choir genre; 400 choristers on stage, singing in common purpose will be a wonderful advertisement for choral singing for men."

The participating choirs are travelling from as far afield as the Midlands and South Wales as well as from across the South of England.

Bournemouth Male Voice Choir’s Development Manager, Malcolm Jenkins said: "There are some tickets still available but only around 150. The Lighthouse has great sightlines from every seat so snap up those last few quickly."

Tickets are available from lighthousepoole.co.uk or by calling 01202 280000.
