SEVEN people have been charged following an alleged robbery at a jewellery shop in Bournemouth.
Detectives from Dorset Police were supported by the Met's Operation Venice team, which tackles moped-enabled crime, during the investigation.
The alleged robbery at Franses Jewellers in Westover Road on Thursday, March 14, involved a number of men on two mopeds and a motorcycle.
Nobody was injured during the incident. A number of jewellery items were reportedly stolen.
Police were called to the incident at around 12pm.
Two people from Bournemouth, a 31-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, as well as a 26-year-old London man and a 26-year-old man of an unknown address.
A 27-year-old man from London has been charged with robbery, threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place and dangerous driving.
A 25-year-old London man has been charged with robbery, threatening a person with a bladed/sharply pointed article in a public place and dangerous driving.
A 26-year-old London man has been charged with robbery and aggravated vehicle taking.
All seven people are due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
