DORSET and Wilts Fire Service is running more than 400 vehicles and appliances in its fleet, from ladder platform fire engines to a BMW Mini.
The brigade has 90 fire engines, including its three aerial ladder platforms, along with 26 Land Rover Defenders, four Kia Picantos, 25 Vauxhall Astra STs, eight Skoda Octavias, nine Kia Sportages and one Mini.
But, because of its work - which involves a lot of rural rescues - the service also has some more weird and wonderful vehicles, including a vintage Dennis fire engine registered in 1951 and two chip pan demonstration trailers.
It also runs a demonstration sprinkler trailer, a boat trailer and a horsebox
The service made public its fleet details in response to a Freedom of Interest.
