A 23-YEAR-OLD man was punched in the face after refusing to hand over his wallet and phone.
The victim was attacked in New Milton in the early hours of Saturday morning after being approached by an unknown man.
The man approached him and demanded the items in Fernhill Lane, near Ballard Lake, at around 1.45am on April 6.
When he refused to hand them over he was punched, leaving him with a bloodied nose. Nothing was stolen.
Now police have appealed for witnesses or information about the man, who ran off towards some trees.
The attacker is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, aged in his late 20s and with ginger stubble.
He was wearing a black Puffa jacket with a fur-lined hood and blue trainers with a New Balance logo.
A 20-year-old man from New Milton was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and has since been released under investigation.
