BOURNEMOUTH’S Cooper Dean Roundabout flyover will be closed on the northbound side of the A338 on Friday night.
Traffic will be redirected onto Cooper Dean Roundabout and then back onto the A338 via the slip road during the closure.
The flyover will be closed between 8.30pm and 11.30pm
During this time, regular maintenance work will be carried out on the drains along the edge of the flyover carriageway.
Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council said the work was being “timed to coincide with and utilise the current traffic management in the area to minimise disruption.”
A contraflow has been in place on the A338 Spur Road since Sunday, March 3. It prioritises two lanes northbound and one lane southbound.
The work currently taking place is due to be completed in June. Widening work is taking place on the northbound carriageway, along with bridge pier protection and bridge maintenance.
