A MAN from Sherborne has died nearly a fortnight after a crash near Dorchester.

The 66-year-old was taken to hospital after the collision on the A352 Old Sherborne Road on Wednesday, March 20.

Police were called at 10.19pm to reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a black Mini near the Herrison Road junction.

The man was taken to Southampton General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, he died of his injuries on Tuesday, April 2.

His family continue to be supported by specially-trained officers.

Inspector Joe Pardey, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family at this extremely difficult time.

“We are continuing to investigate this collision to establish the full circumstances of what happened, and I would appeal to any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.”
