MAGIC man Marc Spelmann, who wowed Simon Cowell with his performance in the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent last year is among the top line up coming to the Hub at Verwood for the Wessex Magical Association’s convention and gala show on April 7.

Throughout the day amateur and professional magicians from across the country will have the chance to listen to top magicians sharing their tips and secrets.

The Wessex Magical Association is one of the oldest magic clubs in the country, first meeting back in 1932 in Galti’s restaurant in Bournemouth.

Its 60 members now hold their monthly meetings at the Grasshopper pub in Poole.

Club president Nick Baverstock said: “The convention provides a great opportunity for magicians of all levels to come together to learn more about the art of magic and the evening show provides a rare chance locally to see some of the very best magicians who regularly perform across the globe.’
