POLICE have appealed for witnesses or information after 14 cars were damaged in Poole.

Dorset Police received a number of reports of vehicles having been damaged, apparently scratched by a key or other sharp item, in Ridgeway in Broadstone between 8am and 5pm on Tuesday last week.

Further incidents were reported in Connaught Crescent in Branksome, with at least four vehicles either scratched or having their tyres slashed between 7pm on Tuesday and 7am on Wednesday March 20.

Police Community Support Investigator Chris Hardy said: “We understand the inconvenience incidents such as this cause to the victims and we are carrying out an investigation to identify those responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the areas involved at the relevant times to contact police. I would also urge anyone with CCTV at their property to check their footage.”
