RALLY your colleagues, challenge your bosses and race against your competitors in Dorset Blind Association’s corporate challenge The Big Row 2019.

Each year corporate teams from across Bournemouth and Poole don their sports gear and head to Bournemouth Square in a bid to become the quickest team to row 10,000m. The fundraising event is now open for entry this year and the charity is looking for local businesses to take up the challenge.

The annual event has previously seen teams from Nationwide, Barclays, Laceys Solicitors, Van Guard Security Services, and many more. Local businesses are able to book a team of four to six people into a one hour time slot between 9.30am and 5pm to complete this challenge.

David Younger from Nationwide, the reigning champions of the event for the last few years, said The Big Row was: "A great way to raise awareness and funds for a truly worthy cause, engaging local businesses whilst creating a fun and competitive environment."

Dorset Blind Association is celebrating its 100th year of serving the community.

Helena Sinclair, the charity's events fundraiser, said: “We’re so excited to bring back our corporate rowing challenge for 2019. It is a great opportunity for businesses that want to make a positive impact to their community.

"Being held in Bournemouth town centre, there is always a real buzz from the event which raises awareness and funds directly benefitting those living with sight loss in Dorset.”

Entry is £40 per team, or fundraisers support the charity's 100th year by raising a minimum of £100 and pay no entry fee.
