A MAN has been arrested following a robbery at a bookmakers in Bournemouth last week.

Police were called to Coral bookmakers in Seamoor Road, Westbourne, at 3.50pm on Friday, March 15.

It was reported that a man entered the shop and threatened staff, saying he had a weapon, before making off with cash.

There were no reports of any weapon being seen and no reports of any injuries.

A 46-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on Wednesday 20 March, on suspicion of robbery.

He is still assisting officers with their enquiries.
