MEMBERS of staff at McDonald's and Asda were threatened with a pair of scissors yesterday morning.

Police were called to the eatery in Bournemouth's Asda shortly after 10.45am.

A witness said the man held the scissors up to a security officer's face after a row with McDonald's staff.

A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "We were called to reports of a man threatening staff with scissors.

"Officers attended and arrested a 38-year-old local man on suspicion of threatening a person with a blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.

"He is assisting officers with their enquiries.

"No injuries were reported."
