Police are calling for witnesses and dashcam owners to come forward following reports of a 'verbal altercation' in Littlemoor.

The incident is said to have occurred at around 12.30pm on Thursday March 14 at the junction of Louviers Road and Littlemoor Road, near to the Littlemoor Shopping Centre.

According to Dorset Police, a man in his 40s and a woman aged in her 30s pulled up behind a taxi, a blue Ford Mondeo.

A 19-year-old man, who was known to the couple, got out and a verbal altercation is reported to have taken place.

A spokesman from Dorset Police said the altercation is being investigated as a public order incident, and witnesses are being asked to come forward.

Police constable Chris Stephens, of Weymouth police, said: “We have spoken to both parties involved in this incident and I am now appealing for any independent witnesses to contact us so we can establish the full circumstances.

“I would also urge anyone who was in the area at the time and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to check their footage for anything relevant.”
