A MAN arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatality at a New Forest takeaway has been bailed once again.

Xiu Bin Wang was found dead at the China Chef restaurant in Brockenhurst n the afternoon of August 20 2018.

A post-mortem examination into the death of the 33-year-old Chinese national, who lived at the eatery in Brookley Road, concluded he died as a result of a head injury.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He has now had his bail extended until May 20.

On the day Mr Wang’s body was found, witnesses reported seeing police officers and paramedics inside a flat above the takeaway.

The area outside the property was cordoned off, while a forensics team was seen searching bins at the back of the address.

A villager who works in Brookley Road but did not want to be named described seeing a man with blood on him being led away by police and put into an ambulance.

An inquest into the death of Xiu Bin Wang had been due to take place this week at Winchester Coroner’s Court. It has been postponed as a result of the ongoing criminal investigation.

A future date has not yet been set for the inquest for that reason.
