A CHRISTCHURCH fish and chip shop will close for five days later this month for a £70,000 refurbishment.
Captain Cod in Stour Road is one of the town's most established takeaways and owners hope the makeover will attract even more customers.
Cookers, counters and the window will be replaced and there will be improvements to the outside of the building.
The shop will close on Saturday March 23 and will be re-opened on Thursday March 28 by Mayor of Christchurch, Cllr Lesley Dedman.
