IF you’re looking for some new food for thought at lunchtime read on. The Real Eating Company Café and Kitchen is collaborating with the Bournemouth-based lunch box company Lunch’d to bring their healthy, gluten and dairy-free meals to either eat in or grab and go.

The Real Eating Company has had a site in Bournemouth for four years now and for 2019 is collaborating with other local businesses to bring interesting new food and drink offers to its customers, helping smaller businesses get onto the High Street at the same time.

Having recently been named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Dorset Food, Drink & Farming Awards, Oli Perron, founder of Lunch’d is now expanding to serve his lunches to the Real Eating Company’s customers - his first retail collaboration.

Helena Hudson, owner of the Real Eating Company said: “We are thrilled that Lunch’d is coming to the Real Eating Company Bournemouth. Oli creates and cooks really delicious, healthy food and I can’t wait for our customers to try it. It’s also great to be able to offer this opportunity to a successful, smaller company when the cost of being on the high street is increasingly prohibitive.”

Oli Perron founder of Lunch’d adds: “We’ve been approached before to white label for other cafe groups, but the opportunity to collaborate as a pop-up with The Real Eating Company to showcase our new seasonal Hotboxes felt like a perfect match. We’ve been solely supplying offices since the first lunch in 2013, so this will be the first time non-office based customers can try us out”

The collaboration kicked on Tuesday and will continue every Tuesday and Wednesday. Customers can grab and go or dine in. Each box will be priced at just £6.95.

Here’s a flavour of what’s on offer:

My Phat Greek Box: Aubergine moussaka & quinoa Greek salad with hummus & balsamic dressing

Jerk Chicken Box: Pulled jerk chicken, roasted sweet potato and quinoa super salad with pomegranate seeds and lime. Served with some seasonal slaw.

n The Real Eating Company is an independent south east business with five branches.
