A DOG rescue charity based in Bournemouth is holding two special events this spring.

Staffie & Stray Rescue’s fourth annual family fun day and dog show is taking place on Saturday, May 18.

It will be held at Corfe Mullen Recreation Ground between 11am and 4pm.

Entry will be free and all money raised from the event will go towards dogs being cared for by the charity.

The charity finds forever foster and forever homes for Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

A dog show will start at 12noon and entry is just £1 per category and visitors will be able to pay as they enter the dog show ring.

There will also be stalls, a tombola, bouncy castle, BBQ and face painting.

Bookings for stalls are now open with stall holders to be announced over the coming weeks.

Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and bitches in season will not be able attend.

Staffie & Stray Rescue will also be holding a rehoming parade at West Parley Memorial Hall in Christchurch Road on Sunday, April 28, between 10am and 12.30pm.

Visitors will be able to meet and greet dogs in the charity’s care who are looking for forever homes. The event is open to anyone looking to foster or adopt a dog, as well as those interested in volunteering.
