A MAN was pulled from the sea off Bournemouth early this morning following reports of concern for his welfare.
Police received reports of a concern for the welfare of a man his 20s in the water between Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers at 4.21am.
Officers attended along with Southbourne Coastguard, Poole Coastguard, Mudeford RNLI and the NPAS helicopter.
Southbourne Coastguard said police officers pulled the man from the sea near Bistro on the Beach restaurant at Southbourne before taking him to hospital.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said the man was taken to a place of safety and is being given appropriate care.
