PLANS have been submitted to flatten a series of buildings in Verwood to make way for a new 47-bedroom dementia care home.
The proposals for 5-7A Edmondsham Road have been put forward to East Dorset District Council by Fayrewood Property Limited.
Their scheme is seeking permission to clear the existing structures on the site and build a part three/part four-storey building with a new vehicular access and parking provision.
The site is currently occupied and used for both resident commercial uses.
Car parking spaces are available for four vehicles at present, but the applicants would like to add an additional eight spaces on the land.
The application form says the scheme received positive support from a council planning officer but details regarding agricultural matters are yet to be resolved.
