Ghost-like figure spotted in picture taken in Bowling Green Alley in Poole

Mark Goddard, who took the photo on his phone, is keeping an open mind about it. He was spooked after spotting the spectre in the picture, which he only noticed once he had transferred the image to his computer.

He took the snap while walking down Bowling Green Alley off the High Street.

He said: “I was walking around the old town part of Poole enjoying the Light Up Poole event last Saturday evening. The light in this alleyway looked quite interesting. I said to my girlfriend ‘I wonder if we’ll see any ghosts’.

“There was nothing there at all when I was taking the photo. It was only when I looked at the image when I transferred it to my home computer that I saw a figure next to the doorway in the image.

“It looks like the ghost of an old lady in a cloak with her right arm across her body. It’s very eerie.”

He added: “I’m open minded about the paranormal, and I’ve done ghost walks before around the old town area.”
