THREE masked robbers raided a bookies in Ashley Cross yesterday evening.
Police were called to Ladbrokes in Commercial Road just before 5.30pm. Detectives say the men walked into the branch and demanded money from staff.
One of the men was holding something in a carrier bag. No weapon was seen.
The men then stole an amount of cash before leaving. No one was hurt.
Detective Sergeant Mark Portelli, of Bournemouth CID, said: "This was a very distressing incident for the member of staff involved and a full investigation into the circumstances is under way."
Anyone with information, or those who noticed anything suspicious, should contact police via dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting 55190029644. Drivers with relevant dashcam footage should also come forward.
