HAVING made his name sneaking into places he shouldn’t be (most notoriously presenting Theresa May with a P45 during her speech to the 2017 Conservative Party conference) audiences can now see Lee Nelson where he most definitely should be: live on stage at two Dorset venues.

Fans of Lee Nelson will know that the uneducated, geezer persona is the creation of character comedian Simon Brodkin, a former medical doctor. Others may know Brodkin for gate crashing the X Factor stage during a Stereo Kicks performance or for attempting to join in with the Manchester City's squad warm up at Goodison Park. Under the guise of a Premier League footballer, he also created one of the most iconic images of 2015 as he showered disgraced FIFA President Sepp Blatter in bank notes live on TV.

Brodkin rarely gives interviews as himself, preferring to stay in character and respond to questions with slang, playful jokes and stereotypes, all in a faux-‘chav’ accent.

The comedian has enjoyed success on the small screen with BBC Three shows Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show and Lee Nelson’s Well Funny People, but still enjoys performing stand-up. Lee is part of a triple bill of comedy at Lighthouse Poole on Saturday, February 23 at 8pm where he will be supported by Canadian-American comedian TanyaLee Davis and Paul Tonkinson. The night is hosted by Adrienne Coles from Coastal Comedy, the monthly comedy club night at Lighthouse.

But if you cant make it to Poole, you can also catch Lee at the Barrington Centre in Ferndown on Friday, March 15 as part of his Serious Joker tour.
