THE Real Greek is set to open a new wine bar below its Bournemouth restaurant this week.

Transforming the intimate space into an elegant and relaxing seating area, the space has been designed for guests to enjoy a delicious glass of wine alongside complimentary authentic Greek Aperitivo – the perfect way to ease into a relaxing dinner, or simply come together over a drink with friends, colleagues or loved ones.

Designed to recreate the relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere of casually sipping drinks when on holiday, the wine bar is situated at the entrance of Bournemouth Lower Gardens within the BH2 complex. With a walkway straight down to the beach, on summer nights it’s the perfect spot to continue to unwind after a day by the coast.

The menu will offer authentic Greek wines such as; Kanenas, a dry and floral white wine made in North-Eastern Greece; Rapsani, a fruity wine also from Northern Greece; and Retsina, a favourite Greek classic.

Complimentary Greek Aperitivo will also be on hand, each matched to the flavours of the hand-selected wines.

As with The Real Greek’s entire menu, the aperitivo’s will be created using premium, wholesome ingredients from Greece and Cyprus. All recipes have been designed alongside Greek Cypriot Tonia Buxton, the face of Greek food in the UK.

Restaurant manager at The Real Greek Bournemouth,Therese Valot said: “The new wine bar will be the perfect place for locals to visit if they want to relax. We will be serving 175ml and 250ml glasses of delicious Greek wine, giving guests the option to try a selection of wines on offer. The Real Greek is passionate about making sure all customers have a great time as well as enjoying authentic Mediterranean cuisine.”

The wine bar is open to the public from Thursday, February 21 from 6pm.
