A jobs fair opened by Mayor of Weymouth and Portland Gill Taylor was declared a huge success.
Weymouth Jobcentre Plus hosted the event, and welcomed 27 employers and providers.
A spokesman for the jobcentre said: "Very quickly the first floor became a buzz of activity as customers chatted to the employers and providers, discussing help and advice in their ambition to gain employment or move closer to their goal of being ready for work.
"In particular it highlighted women into work, our Youth Obligation programme, our health and wellbeing customers and those people who would consider themselves to be mature jobseekers.
"There was a vast array of opportunities for everyone ranging from apprenticeships, seasonal work, career options, voluntary work and skills and learning courses."
