TWO Bournemouth University students are hoping to raise hundreds of pounds to help the town’s homeless community this winter.
Sam Evans and Laura Sutton, who are both 22, want to raise £500 for winter survival packs for people on the streets of Bournemouth.
Each pack costs £11 to make and includes a fold away rucksack, blanket, fleece jumper, a pair of gloves, a snood and a woolly hat.
If Sam and Laura reach their target, the packs will be able to help 40 homeless people.
Sam said: “We’ve decided to do it because of the cold weather that has come in and we wanted to be more proactive then just giving money to a charity.”
The pair have set up a crowdfunding page on the JustGiving website and people can make a donation at http://bit.ly/2HXAmew.
