A MAN who tried to entice a 10-year-old boy into a van near a Bournemouth school is believed to be in his thirties, police have said.

As reported in the Daily Echo, detectives are hunting for a man who approached a boy near Kingsleigh Primary on Tuesday, February 5.

The youngster was walking to meet his mum at the end of the school day when the incident happened.

Richard Gower, head of the Hadow Road school, met with the parents of the boy concerned and has spoken with all pupils.

Yesterday, police confirmed that they are looking for a white man in his thirties who has black hair and was wearing dark clothing. He was driving a small white van.

A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "Police have been conducting reassurance patrols and speaking to local residents."

No further similar incidents have been reported.
