THE widow of Dunkirk veteran Arthur Taylor has thanked all those who attended her husband's funeral.

More than 100 people packed into Bournemouth Crematorium on Friday to pay their respects to the 98-year-old war hero, who died on December 28.

Vera Taylor said: "I wish to thank everyone, who attended my husband's, Arthur Taylor’s, funeral and wake, on Friday 1st February 2019, and for the many cards, flowers and good wishes I have received."

Arthur was posted all over the world during 36 years in the RAF.

In a moving family tribute, his son, Major Stephen Taylor, said: "Father had a very interesting, eventful and full life. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him."
