DORSET-based animal rescue centre Margaret Green is hoping to find homes for animals in its care this week.

Ginger is a three-year-old cat who is “very affectionate”, active and loves to be out and about. She’s looking to be the only pet in her new home but could live with older children.

Norman is an 11-year-old cat who is a little nervous and can be fairly ‘chatty’. He would prefer a home where he was the only pet with no small children.

Patsy the chicken is looking for a forever home with her six friends who are all 18-month-old ex-caged hens. They need a home with secure overnight accommodation and an outside area.

Ranger is a six-year-old ex-racing greyhound who is laid back and enjoys snuggles but is also playful. He could live with a large-sized dog and older children but not cats or small furries.

Roxy the five-year-old female Rottweiler cross is energetic and looking for an adult-only family with experience of larger breeds. She would be best suited as the only pet.

Finally, there’s Barnaby, a three-and-a-half-year-old Lhasa Apso cross Pug. He is currently having ear and eye treatment which could be long-term. Barnaby would like a quiet home and could live with a like-minded dog.

To rehome any of the dogs and chickens call 01929 471340 and for the cats call 01929 480474.
