TWO people were seriously hurt and a busy Poole road closed for six hours after a two-car crash last night.
Emergency services were called to Ringwood Road at 9.20pm following a collision between a grey BMW 320D and a black Ford Focus.
Police, fire, ambulance and air ambulance crews were all at the scene and two men, one in his 20s and one in his 30s, were taken to Poole Hospital.
The accident took place near Poole Mitsubishi and Ringwood Road was closed between Haskells Road and Rosemary Road until 3.30am.
It was described as a "horrific scene" by one witness.
Police have now appealed for more witnesses and anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 30:400 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
