BOURNEMOUTH: A charity ball to raise funds for the Bournemouth Leukaemia Fund will be held at AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, March 30.

WINTON: The Victoria Park Methodist Drama Group is celebrating its 50th anniversary, with four special double bill performances. Profits from the performances will be going to local charity Crumbs. The first play, ‘Hanging Around’, is written by Reg Stokes, who started the group and has written and produced several plays over the years. The second play, ‘Bull in a China Shop’, by CB Gifford has previously been successfully adapted on ‘Alfred Hitchcock Presents’. Performances will be held from February 20th until the 22nd, at Victoria Park Methodist Church Hall, on Edgehill Road, at 7.30pm and Saturday 23rd at 2.30pm. Tickets, including a programme, are £8 for adults and £4 for students in full time education, and can be purchased by ringing 01202 520482. Alternatively, they can also be purchased at the annual coffee morning, in the church hall, on Saturday 9th February from 10.30am – 12 noon.

CHRISTCHURCH: St Catherine’s Hill Age Concern Friendship Group meets at St Catherine’s Hill Community Centre from 2pm to 4pm on Wednesdays, for people over the age of 55 living in the area who would enjoy making new friends and participating in social activities. Entry £3.

KINSON: A Spring craft fair is being held at Kinson Community Centre in Millhams Road on March 16. Between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, there will be handmade craft items on sale, a charity raffle and complimentary goody bags for the first 40 customers. Entry costs £1 and is free for children under 15 when accompanied by an adult.

WALLISDOWN: A fine art auction is being held at the Arts University Bournemouth on March 14 between 6pm and 9pm. This auction is organised by third year Fine Art students to raise money for their upcoming free range show in London.
