A HUSBAND and wife team from Poole have signed up for a charity challenge, to raise money for a cause close to their hearts.

Rob and Janine Towler will be taking on the Jurassic Coast Challenge in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association's East Dorset and New Forest branch, after Rob's auntie, Annie Allen, was diagnosed with the incurable disease in July 2017.

Annie is a partner in graphic design agency Creative Studios, of which Rob, 41, is also a partner.

He is no stranger to a tough fundraiser, having last year completed the Thames Path Challenge 100k in 25 hours and 53 minutes, raising £2,114 for the charity.

Rob said: "I thought I would have a go at another Ultra Challenge, or two. In June this year I will be taking on the Jurassic Coast Challenge in a 58km hike from Poole to Weymouth. Then, in September, I will also be taking part again in the 100km Thames Path Challenge from Putney Bridge to Henley-on-Thames."

Janine has signed up for the 25km Jurassic Coast Challenge as a personal "get-fit challenge", and Rob will also be joined by friends Darren and Colin.

He added: "If there’s any way you can help support the Motor Neurone’s charity the MNDA, then please do, we really appreciate any help and support where possible."
