SNOW Patrol fans were left stunned after a surprise guest performed with the band in Bournemouth last night.

The Northern Irish rock band was joined by actor and chat show host James Corden at the BIC.

James, who hosts the The Late Late Show in the US, sang alongside frontman Gary Lightbody on What If This Is All The Love You Ever Get? taken from the band's latest album, Wildness.

Concert-goer Jess Wicks managed to capture footage of the performance.

She said: "It was fantastic! We were all so surprised when James came out but he has such a great voice so the duet worked perfectly. It was an amazing evening."

After the show, Snow Patrol tweeted: "Thank you all at the BIC in Bournemouth tonight. Didn’t feel like a Sunday night that’s for sure! Brilliant. Loads of love to you all. Thanks to our special guests @Kodaline @Roe_music & to our dear pal @JKCorden for joining us on stage to sing ‘what if...’. so beautifully. gL.x"

The Gavin & Stacey star is often seen singing with famous faces.

His talk show features a section called carpool karaoke in which he invites bands and singers to sing along to their songs while he drives.

Previous guests have included Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mariah Carey and Rod Stewart.
