TWO drivers have been caught READING at the wheel on the A338 Wessex Way.
The pair were snapped by the Daily Echo on Thursday as part of our campaign against drivers who are distracted at the wheel.
Although we most frequently take photographs of motorists using their phones, within a short period of time last week we spotted two men reading from sheets of A4 paper.
Their eyes are off the road and focusing on the writing in front of them.
We also captured a number of people using their mobiles, including van drivers and a man behind the wheel of a Mercedes.
Over the years, we have pictured hundreds of drivers using their phones and featured them in galleries in a bid to highlight road safety issues.
Using a phone or a sat nav when driving or riding a motorbike is illegal. Those caught breaking the law can be issued with six points or a £200 fine.
Drivers who passed their test within two years of the offence will lose their licence.
