I WAS delighted to read in the Daily Echo (22nd January) that the world's most famous steam locomotive The Flying Scotsman will be visiting Swanage Railway this spring.
Hopefully, this will attract many visitors to the town giving a much needed boost to businesses that have suffered during the prolonged closure of the Sandbanks Ferry.
Congratulations also to the team at Swanage Railway for achieving a successful bid to bring this iconic steam locomotive to Dorset, simply brilliant!
