A 16-YEAR-OLD girl who founded her own lighting design company will work with chart-toppers Take That on their UK arena tour this year.

Brockenhurst College student Rosie White already has experience working with many top names including 80s pop icon Rick Astley, new wave band Heaven 17, singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner and Scottish duo The Proclaimers.

Rosie, who is from New Milton, is studying Vocational Production Arts at the New Forest college and she founded a freelance firm called Rosie's Lights last year.

She has already provided lighting design services for a variety of concerts and other events including awards evenings and charity events.

Last November Rosie joined the crew working on the Rick Astley Beautiful Life tour as part of an industry initiative to get more women working in the performance technology sector.

She said: "My teachers have been very supportive in helping me balance work and study. I love what I do and after finishing my course I hope to progress in the industry."

Rosie’s teacher, Alexa Phillips, added: "Rosie is an incredibly diligent student who arrived at Brock with a wealth of experience. We hope to assist her in further developing her skills alongside her exciting work."
