A POPULAR Bournemouth pub has reopened its doors following a six figure refurbishment.

The Inferno in Holdenhurst Road has had a £275,000 revamp for the New Year including a new bar layout.

The old brewery room upstairs has been converted into a new space, available for private hire with an option to include a fridge full of beer.

A company spokesman said the refurbishment had also created eight new jobs.

“A multitude of new HDTV screens transform The Inferno into the perfect place to catch the wide range of sport that is taking place in 2019, from football, including AFC Bournemouth’s televised fixtures, to cricket, boxing and the increasingly popular NFL.

“And with Six Nations Rugby kicking off in early February, there’ll be no better place to enjoy the games.”

The food menu has been kickstarted and now features a vegan chilli and rice, Jackfruit Bao Buns and a Jackfruit burger amongst other plant-based delights.

There is also a wide selection of burgers, all-day breakfasts, sharers and tasty mains.

The drinks list boasts a wide range of local beers, craft ales and ciders including Arch Brewery, Beavertown and Lilley’s Cider.

There is an extensive wine list, cocktails galore and a selection of wholesome smoothies to choose from.

The Inferno’s weekly programme includes a combination of entertainment and food & drink offers.

Mondays are host to Speed Quizzing; Pancake Tuesdays and Wing Wednesdays offer pancakes or wings at only 25p each; there is Rock and Roll Bingo on Thursdays and Craft and Cocktail nights on Fridays; and weekends feature Saturday Karaoke and Retro Games Sundays.

General manager, Roksana Zym says: “We are incredibly excited to relaunch our pub to the people of Bournemouth.

“Not only is the new look amazing but our menu offers a great range of food and drink and the team are great. We look forward to welcoming everyone in.”
