A ROAD in Bournemouth town centre was closed for around two hours after a two-vehicle collision this morning.

Terrace Road was shut off by police after the incident which took place shortly after 11am.

The collision involved a silver van, registered to a company in Bournemouth, and a silver Renault Clio, registered to a man from Worcestershire, with reports of two casualties.

The ambulance service attended the scene and treated two casualties, who were both taken to hospital for further treatment.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said they were called at 11.11am and the road was closed in both directions.

South Western Ambulance Service said two crews dealt with the incident.

The Renault Clio sustained damage to the front end of the vehicle. The road reopened around 1.20pm.
